Bus Hailing Kits
Braille
bus hailing kits are used by persons with visual impairments
to hail specific buses. We manufacture a standard bus hailing
kit which includes the following:

vinyl holder with clear pockets on both sides

set of braille and print instructions on how to use the
kit

each of numbers 3 through 9 and 0

Our
bus hailing kit is extremely user friendly. Once the visually
impaired person inserts the appropriate cards into the clear
pockets, the large print numbers are easily visible to the
bus or taxi driver. After the rider inserts the appropriate
number in the clear pockets, they can easily check the setup
as the braille portion of the card remains above the clear
pocket. Our bus hailing kits have clear pockets on both sides,
therefore if the rider has to transfer to a second bus, they
would use the pockets on the backside of the vinyl holder
to display the second bus number.
Although
we have a standard kit, we are always happy to customize our
kits to allow for variations in bus numbering systems.
